As a πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ Palestinian-Canadian, my approach is diversity & inclusion-conscious and tech-forward. When people come here looking to discover "What I do," they see I really don't fit into one box... because I've switched into new fields and most of my career has chartered a more diffuse approach. (To quote the inimitable Tilda Swinton, "I don’t have a career, I have a life. I follow my life and the way I’m living it.") But, my work has always intersected with the arts, technology and education.

I have 15+ years' experience working in cultural programming, talent delivery & talent attraction, sourcing & recruitment, editorial/copywriting, branding, and digital content strategy for global SaaS companies, and world-class arts & non-profit institutions. I've moved between film festivals, opera companies, museums, and Forbes 100 cloud companies. Some of my workplaces include 1Password, Shopify, the Toronto International Film Festival, the Art Gallery of Ontario, Against the Grain Theatre, and the Canadian Opera Company.

Before shifting into talent delivery, talent sourcing and talent acquisition for tech companies in 2020, I was most recently a community organizer and producer focused on building experiences that inspire you to learn, create, and discover something new. I take as much joy out of curating and delivering culturally relevant programming, as I do love bringing people together and helping them find their dream career or situation. I especially love connecting collaborative professionals in my network (musicians, photographers, illustrators, artists, writers, filmmakers, producers, designers, software developers, entrepreneurs and educators). I'm fully committed to helping women, gender-diverse and marginalized groups break into tech. And I support folks with non-traditional/generalist backgrounds (like me) make the jump into tech.

I'm the founding member of 1Password's Employee Resource Group (ERG) dedicated to West Asia North Africa (WANA).

A home chef, I frequently speak on indigenous/Palestinian food practices, food sovereignty, food justice and food security.

I love: Creative sourcing and reachouts, improving efficiency and automation, researching and creating case studies around new sourcing software and tools, talent mapping and research, building partnerships, and mentoring and building out talent teams.

Forever searching for: New Spotify playlists, films on the Criterion Channel, the best spots to buy tabouli.
